SUN-TECH Prosthetics & Orthotics Limited has appointed a Disability Advocate and an Amputee, Miss Aver Akighir as the ambassador of their brand.
The unveiling of their brand ambassador took place at their office at Plot 901, Majekodunmi Crescent, Utako, Abuja on Friday, 20th May, 2022.
The Chairman and Founder of the Company, Prince Sunny Ukachukwu, while unveiling Miss Aver to the Press said that their choice of Aver Akighir was informed by her track record of hard work, integrity, doggedness and ability to carry along other persons with disabilities.
“Aver has been an inspiration to other young women like her and our little background check on her shows that she is of good character, responsible so we are engaging her to be our ambassador to project our brand”
“She found herself in this condition with the trauma that goes with it but she didn’t limit herself and she didn’t allow that to deter her from achieving her goals. She is still making a lot of impact in the society she found herself, she is bold with a lot of confidence even with her condition. Based on that we as Orthotics and Prosthetics company, felt that she has all it takes to represent our image and to be our ambassador.
He stated that the Company was founded to assist those who have lost their limbs or any other part of their body as a result of disease, trauma or wickedness of man from reckless drivers causing accidents or pogroms such as the terrorism.
Therefore, the Company decided to stand in the gap by partnering with them and after their interaction with a lot of people, Aver is spectacular among many, so the Company decided to engage her to project the Centre while the Centre projects her as well and getting her involved will help to build the confidence of many others like her that there is hope even at the condition they found themselves.
